My Story
Hello!
I'm a community-minded former public-school art educator with professional art and photography training. I'm a wife and mother of adult children and retired from teaching and really enjoy my professional exhibition opportunities. I also play piano for a church on Sundays! I love immersing myself in the arts, viewing exhibitions, and participating in community-events with my artistic-talents when I have time. Although I'm no longer climbing scaffolds, enjoy my numerous mural works here! Read about me (my official bio is also on the site) and become immersed in the arts as well! I am selective about commission work...mostly I just want to share my story and experiences with you here! PRINTMAKING:Relief and monoprinting, formerly etching, engraving, lithography. MUSIC: Experienced and accomplished college-trained classical pianist and church-pianist. TEACHER: Qualified Juror for student work and novice adults.
Gina Judy-Fine Artist and Illustrator (Richmond, Ohio), originally from Steubenville, is a graduate of Bethany College (WV) where she studied with renowned watercolorist (the late) Wes Wagner, and also holds a Master's Degree from Ohio University, (Athens, OH) in Art Education. While at Ohio University as a teaching-assistant, she also took painting and printmaking courses with MFA candidates. While there, Gina studied with Master Printer (the late) Prof. Don Roberts. She has also attended a number of workshops by notable artists such as Lana Privitera, Michael Holter, C. Jean Fitzgerald, Frank Webb, Jeannie McGuire, Kathleen Zimbicki, Christine Swann, Lavonne Sulwalski, Gerald Brommer, Barry Jeter, Ron Thurston, Sharon Stoltzenberger, Pat Dews, and Frank Eber. While having been a caregiver for a now-deceased parent for six-years, she is also an exhibiting artist. After her retirement from public-school art teaching of thirty-years in 2014 and being an exhibiting artist during part of that time, she temporarily left 'retired' life and filled-in from December 2021 through June 2022 as a permanent-substitute for a local-Christian school (half-day position) in grades 3-12, after the untimely passing of their art-teacher. Since 2014 she has been accepted into numerous shows in at least 20 states that had either a national or international screening, winning awards especially in watercolor, in many of them. She holds twelve signature-memberships--Ohio Watercolor Society, Kentucky Watercolor Society, Philadelphia watercolor Society, Montana Watercolor Society, Red River Watercolor Society, Alaska Watercolor Society, Rhode Island Watercolor Society, Pikes Peak Watercolor Society, Spokane Watercolor Society, North Star Watermedia Society, Baltimore Watecolor Society and The Women's Art Club of Cincinnati. She is a Juried member of four Pittsburgh art societies-- Pittsburgh Society of Artists (1984) and the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society (2015),and Cranberry Artists Network. She also holds a number of other Pittsburgh area-art memberships, including the Pittsburgh Pastel Artists League. She is Past President, Past Vice-President, Past Show-Chair, Past Publicity-Chair, Past Scholarship-Chair and Past Recording-Secretary since the early 1980's, of the Steubenville (OH) Art Association, and serves on the board of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists as Recording Secretary, as well as holding other museum-supporting memberships such as Oglebay Institute, Wheeling, WV. She is a displaying member of Summit Gallery, as a member of the Top Of West Virginia Arts Council in neighboring Weirton, West Virginia.

Volunteer-Advisor Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs for Community Service High-School and Jr. High girls 1995-2011.
Two-semesters taught Kent State University, East-Liverpool Ohio Branch, Art For Elementary Teachers until the course moved to the main campus...300-level evening-course.
Continues to occasionally teach adult art workshops for arts groups in Steubenville , Ohio and Weirton, WV.
